Exposing Abortion Industry Influence on Religious Campuses
Each year, Students for Life of America’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement reviews 725 Christian-affiliated colleges and universities to identify abortion industry influence and to hold schools accountable until those ties are cut. In 2025, more than 1 in 7 Christian colleges and universities maintained ties to the abortion industry. Christian education is not compatible with abortion.
After findings were released, Students for Life:
- Contacted school leadership multiple times
- Alerted administrators and governing bodies to abortion industry ties
- Mobilized students, alumni, and supporters
- Applied public accountability when necessary
Our work directly led to policy reversals and severed abortion industry relationships.
2025 Key Findings & Insights
KEY FINDINGS:
- The Enemy Has Infiltrated: 118 Christian schools were found to have ties to the abortion industry.
- Our Work Matters: Eight schools cut ties with the abortion industry in 2025 following SFLA outreach – 4 schools partially cut ties with the abortion industry and another 4 totally cut ties.
- Christian Schools Have Let Culture Taint Their Values: More than 1 in 7 Christian colleges promote or platform abortion groups.
- There’s Good News, Too: 66 schools earned A+ ratings for promoting life-affirming Pregnancy Centers.
DATA HIGHLIGHTS:
- We documented a 39% increase in abortion-supporting activity since 2024.
- 533 total infractions were documented — the highest in four years.
- 26% of infractions listed abortion as a “health resource.”
- 82 new abortion-related internship infractions were uncovered.
- 12 of 22 denominations had at least one violating school.
- There was a surge in internship pipelines and classroom resources tied to abortion groups.
- About a quarter of infractions promoted Planned Parenthood as “trusted.”

Planned Parenthood infiltrates Christian institutions through internships, course materials, health resource pages, events, and career platforms. These ties have no place in schools claiming to uphold the Gospel.
